Help to Buy – Cardwells Estate Agents strongly recommend the Government’s scheme.

Help to Buy 300x300 1

How many times have you stopped at an estate agent’s window and looked wistfully at the displayed posters? How often have you started planning your ideal home, only to realise you can’t afford it? Or how frustrated do you get when you want to perform the simplest of decorating tasks in your house, only to come to a halt when you remember you’ll have to ask your Landlord for permission first?

Why should you be penalised just because you’re planning to buy property alone? You know you work hard. However, the ever increasing cost of living means all of your money goes towards putting food on the table. Why, then, should you be denied the privilege of owning your own home? Well, someone has finally listened to these questions.

The Government fully agrees and has recently set up a scheme meaning all your home owning dreams may actually become a reality. With this in mind, here at Cardwells Estate Agents we are ready and waiting to help you in the next step of your adventure onto the property ladder.

We have previously written blogs about property for sale in Bury, Prestwich, Walkden and Bolton.

You may have seen the title and dismissed the content. Why should you read about somewhere you can’t afford to move to? Don’t despair; the aptly named ‘Help to Buy’ scheme will make you want to read up on all your ideal areas. Although the Help to Buy Mortgage Guarantee is no longer available, the Help to Buy Equity Loan can be taken advantage of until 2020.

Under this part of the scheme, first time buyers, along with those wishing to move house, will need just 5% of the property’s value as a deposit. The Government will provide an equity loan of a further 20%, meaning you’ll only need to qualify for a 75% mortgage.

Sounds good to us! Sound good to you? Take a look at their website or speak to your bank. Don’t forget your hopes and wishes just because they may not have come to fruition in the past. The Government wants more people owning their homes and banks do honestly want to help. So what are you waiting for?
