The area OL10, part of Rochdale Borough, is roughly 2.5 miles east of our Bury Town Centre branch, and 7.5 miles north of Manchester City Centre.
OL10 has a wide range of accommodation types and styles, throughout the main town, Heywood, from the millers’ terraced homes of old, to the detached homes of the more affluent areas in the town.
For education there are a number of reputable schools, namely Hopwood County Primary School, St. Luke’s C.E. Primary School, All Souls’ Primary School, St. Joseph’s R.C. Primary School, Harwood Park Primary School, Heapbridge Primary School, Woodland Primary School, St. Margaret’s Primary School, Our Lady and St Paul’s R.C. Primary School, Siddal Moor Sports College, Holy Family RC & CE College (Previously St. Joseph’s R.C. High School).
OL10 is a very popular area for commuters due to the proximity of the M66 motorway and its links to the M60 Ring Road. There are also regular bus routes throughout town and to neighbouring towns, such as Bury and Rochdale.
There are also numerous sports clubs such as Heywood Cricket Club, Heywood United FC and Heywood Hockey Club to name but a few, and leisure facilities that are available to the public.
