There are two listed buildings in Buckshaw Village. They are the scenic Old Worden Hall, which has recently been redeveloped and Buckshaw Hall which was built in the 1650s. Buckshaw has many local facilities, such as a community centre, dental surgery, pharmacist and surgery, as well as a beloved pub named Bobbin Mill and a Tesco supermarket.
Buckshaw Village is conveniently placed for commuting and travelling throughout the North West, with the M6 and M61 motorway junctions close by. Chorley Town Centre is approximately 1 mile away and Buckshaw boasts its own railway station (Buckshaw Parkway) to get to nearby places, such as Bolton, Wigan, Preston and Manchester. There are multiple primary schools in the area, including Trinity Church Of England Methodist Primary School and Lancaster Lane Community Primary School.
