About Patricroft, Eccles

Patricroft is an area of Eccles, which became a successful town throughout the 1800’s. During the First World War many of the factories in the area diverted to munitions productions for work.

At the start of the Second World War it became a Royal Ordnance Factory producing shells, tanks and guns for British soldiers. The engineering works closed in 1989 the site is now part of a business and technology centre.

Patricroft Railway Station is on Green Lane and runs from Manchester Victoria through to Liverpool Lime Street, making it very easy to commute around the country. The metrolink station is in Eccles town centre going through to the city centre and beyond to nearby towns such as Bury and Altrincham. There are also multiple bus routes which run in and around the area providing easy access to the City Centre.

Patricroft offers great access to the Trafford Centre, accessed by junction 11 off the M60 with the Trafford Centre being the next stop after going over Barton High Level Bridge. There is probably no need to elaborate but think mega shopping, restaurants, cinemas, golf driving range, indoor skydiving and an indoor ski slope.
