“These statistics for the average house prices in Bury from the Office of National Statistics certainly make interesting reading. They further emphasise the fact that there is a property for everyone in Bury, and there is a property for every budget in Bury. There is such an eclectic mix of properties, ranging from studio apartments, all the way through to country mansions with acreage suitable for keeping horses, perhaps found in the more rural parts of Bury such as Summerseat.
The figures are of course influenced by the type of property stock found in that area, so for example there are a number of apartments in Radcliffe, while Summerseat and Prestwich have more detached and semi detached properties, which mostly command a high price than apartments.
One of the great things about Bury on the whole is the range of welcoming communities in our town and all areas are lucky to have fantastic facilities near by. Our town enjoys a wonderful mix of beautiful countryside (Burrs Country Park, Close Park, Holcombe Hill etc) juxtaposed with beautiful historical buildings, fantastic shopping facilities particularly at The Rock in the town centre of Bury, wonderful schools that are often oversubscribed, superb employment opportunities and fantastic transport links with Metrolink, road and motorway links easily accessible from many parts of our town.
There are a huge variety of reasons which can sway the value of property in each area of Bury, for example if there is a limited number of residential properties to choose from, a shortage of supply of property often leads to demand levels which outstrip supply, which can lead to higher prices. Sometimes factors like being close to a particular school can have an impact as the properties near by can be in higher demand. As can being close to a place of worship, community facility and being close to transport links.
Bury is our wonderful home town and it is no surprise that all of Bury, is so popular to property purchasers. Bury is somewhere that we can all can home with facilities and attractions to suit the most decerning property buyer.”
