About Buckshaw Village
Also known as Buckshaw is a modern residential and industrial area between Chorley and Leyland and is part of Euxton. It is one of the largest urban development sites in the north west and continuing to expand. The development is on the former site of the Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF) Chorley and covers a large area.
There are two listed buildings in Buckshaw. They are Old Worden Hall (now redeveloped) and Buckshaw Hall, which was built in the 1650s. Buckshaw has a community centre, dental surgery, pharmacist and surgery. There is also a pub named Bobbin Mill and a Tesco supermarket.
Buckshaw Village is ideally placed for commuting throughout the north west. The M6 and M61 motorway junctions are close by. Chorley is approximately 1 mile away and Buckshaw boasts its own railway station in Buckshaw Parkway. Schools in the area include Trinity Church Of England Methodist Primary School and Lancaster Lane Community Primary School.
