Cheetham Hill is on the west bank of the River Irk, 1.4 miles from Manchester City Centre and close to the boundary with City of Salford. Cheetham Hill has a multi ethnic community, there is a large Jewish population with numerous synagogues and other places of worship.

There are a number of Primary Schools in the area including Cravenwood Primary Academy, Crumpsall Lane Primary School, St Anne’s RC Primary School, King David’s Junior School and St Thomas’ Primary School. Secondary education is provided by King David’s High School and Abraham Moss High School.
There are 3 metrolink stations nearby being Station Road, Bowker Vale and Abraham Moss. There are regular bus services throughout the area via North Manchester General Hospital and onwards to Manchester City Centre and other areas of Manchester.
