About Egerton Bolton
Egerton, Bolton is a village situated around 3 miles to the North of Bolton. Positioned within the region of the West Pennine Moors, Egerton, Bolton enjoys some outstanding local countryside and an array of first class everyday facilities. Egerton, Bolton is popular with families for many reasons, but one of the key attractions to the village is schools such as Walmsley Church of England Primary School which is situated just off Blackburn Road (the A666) near to the War Memorial.
There are no secondary schools within Egerton, but Turton High School, Canon Slade and Bolton School are amongst the secondary schools that the children aged 11–16 of Egerton attend.
For Preschool aged children Eagley School House provides day care and there are various playgroups available including the Egerton and Walmsley Playgroup which is situated in the Walmsley Church hall and Cub Scout building.
