About Haslingden Rossendale
Haslingden is a small town in Rossendale is 19 miles north of Manchester. Haslingden grew from a market town to an industrial borough during the industrial revolution with the development of watermills and steam power for the spinning and weaving industries for wool and cotton. It’s also known for its stone quarrying.
There are extensive areas of moorland to the west of Haslingden, divided into Oswaldtwistle Moor and Haslingden Moor, forming part of the West Pennine Moors.
