Cardwells Estate Agents Are Collecting For Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary In Bury
Cardwells Estate Agents Bury and Bolton are now collecting items and donations for the wonderful Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Bury. Times are hard for everyone, but if you could help with a donation it could go a long way towards assisting with the wonderful work that Bleakholt do. Anything would be appreciated, but things such as: Animal Coats, Collars, Leads, Food, Blankets, Toys, Bedding, etc would be most helpful.
Cardwells Estate Agents are a firm of animal lovers and they recently held a bring a “Bring A Pet To Work Day” to help raise funds for Bleakholt. Surprisingly all the gorgeous doggies got on just fine!
Andrew Cardwell says;
“All of us at Cardwells are huge admirers of the magnificent work that Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Bury do all year round. We have seen first hand what a wonderful charity it is. Janet (far left) even gave the beautiful Bella her forever home, after meeting her at Bleakholt, a few years ago. My colleagues and I have previously undertaken charity initiatives to help in a small way, the Bring a Pet To Work day was great fun. Now we are collecting on behalf of Bleakholt at both of our Bury and Bolton town centre offices. If you can spare anything such as a lead, or a little extra animal food or equipment we will make sure it is safely delivered to Bleakholt”
If you can help with anything at all the drop off locations are:

Mission Christmas, Cardwells Estate Agents Bolton and Cardwells Estate Agents Bury Are Collecting Christmas Presents for Disadvantaged Children This Christmas
Cardwells Estate Agents Bolton and Bury are collecting Christmas presents so disadvantaged children can have a present under the tree on Christmas morning this year.
Cardwells Estate Agents Bolton office on Institute Street in the town centre of Bolton and Cardwells Estate Agents Bury office on Market Street in Bury Town centre official drop off points for the Mission Christmas charity campaign in association with CashForKids.
Andrew Cardwell, Cardwells Managing Director says:
“We are trying to help out in a small way by collecting Christmas presents for children who may not otherwise receive something this year. We are working collaboratively with this fabulous charity and are proud to provide our Bolton and Bury Town Centre offices as official drop of point if anyone would like to donate a present for a child this Christmas. We know this Christmas is going to be hard for lots of people, and we are trying to do a little something to help those who may need extra support this year. Perhaps you could consider buying one extra present this year to donate? It could make the world of difference to one child’s Christmas. We understand that times are difficult, and this is not feasible for many, but I just wanted to let you know that this charitable initiative was taking place, just in case you could help. We hope that everyone enjoys a wonderful Christmas time and relishes spending time with family and loved ones this year, now that the Covid restrictions have passed.”
If you can help and donate, presents should be new and unwrapped and with Cardwells Estate Agents Bolton or Cardwells Estate Agents Bury by the 19th of December.

BCMS Presents Shrek – The Musical
We are really excited to be supporting the upcoming musical production of Shrek which is coming to the Bolton Albert Hall this month.
Sharples High School Art Competition Gallery
We at Cardwells Estate Agents Bolton were proud to partner with Sharples High School in Sharples, Bolton to create an art competition for the children to take part in. The brief was for the children to create a room in a property using any artistic medium that they wished. As you will see the standard of the entries wars incredibly high!
The prizes for the winners were:
£200 Blackpool Pleasure Beach Vouchers
£30 Amazon
£20 Amazon voucher
Andrew Cardwell was given the unenviable task of trying to decide upon the winners. Andrew says:
“We were completely overwhelmed by the incredibly high standard of all the children’s entries. The artistic skills displayed across a large number of mediums was breathtaking. The talent that all of the children who entered displayed was utterly fantastic. Some children had sketched pictures, some had painted pictures, others had created models, some had used computer design programmes, one student even made a room up using Roblox. The thought and time that the children had taken was astounding.
It was an incredibly hard decision to whittle the entries down to three prize winners, it was so hard in fact, that on the day, a fourth place was introduced!”
The winners are:
1st Riya Patel
2nd Iman Khalid Nasir
3rd Abby Ho
Andrew Cardwell says:
“My congratulations go out to every child who entered the completion as everyone did such an incredible piece of work. I hope that all the winners enjoy their prizes and that Riya Patel and her family have a wonderful day out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I was so pleased to be welcomed into Sharples High School as a guest and was made to feel so welcome. All of the children who I was luckily enough to meet were incredibly polite, chatty and welcoming – thank you so much!”
We are very proud to tell you that Cardwells are supporting Bolton Hospice as part of their Patrons Scheme. Our Andrew Cardwell and Richard Cardwell visited the Hospice last week and were made to feel most welcome, and were presented with this certificate.
Andrew Cardwell says: “Richard (my Father) and I have long been admirers of the wonderful work and care that Bolton Hospice provides to the local people of Bolton. As a small Bolton business we are proud to give our support to their magnificent charity, safe in the knowledge that they will continue to provide love, compassion and respect for members of our Bolton community when they need it most. Although only modest, we wish to help in just a small way, so that their wonderful work can continue into the future. We send our thanks and gratitude to everyone at Bolton Hospice for everything that you do.”
We at Cardwells are delighted to confirm that we have become a Bronze Patron Member at Bolton Hospice. A vital service in our community they have been providing hospice care for Bolton since 1992.
Their consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professionals provide specialist care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice, at their wellbeing hub and at home. They are an independent charity and all of their services are free of charge.
They are an independent charity mainly funded by the people of Bolton. To continue providing free care and support they need to raise £4 million a year through donations, fundraising and gifts in wills.
This is an essential service that each of us will either use or know someone who is supported by it and as such we are happy to help in our small way.
