At Cardwells Estate Agents Bolton and Cardwells Estate Agents Bury we are occasionally asked to value a property to assist with separation or matrimonial discussions. In this scenario we charge a fee of £120+VAT (£144 inc VAT) for this we visit the property and follow up with an email confirming our thoughts on the asking price. Should the property be sold with us in the future this costs will be deducted from our eventual sales commission.
We charge a fee for this service as it takes a time to research, visit the property and and follow up in writing, we are not a charity, and these appointments all cost us money. Presuming that the property is sold with us in due course this costs is deducted from the fee, and is therefore cost neutral.
