These are extraordinary and unprecedented times that we are all trying to navigate safely, whilst prioritising those we love, and hoping you our clients, and your families stay well. We all support the brilliant work of the key workers in our community, and we have volunteered our help where we can, to assist them in some small way. That said, business continues, and the wheels of the property industry are still turning with future buyers still studying the various property web sites looking for their potential dream home.
While our high street doors are closed, we are still very much open for business.
Two services that we have developed over the last few weeks or so that have become quite popular are; virtual property valuation appraisals via video call and virtual video property viewings. We have conducted several property valuations via video call. There is a library of pre-recorded video tours that are an alternative to actually attending a property viewing. Not the same as a personal viewing but an added option which we hope is useful during these times of social distancing etc . We have also prepared a package of services so that we could begin to market your property whilst maintaining good social distancing practice. Please enquire if this would be of interest to you.
Our investment in the latest IT technology means our team can continue working remotely in virtually the same way as if they were at one of our High Street Estate Agency Offices in Bolton, Bury, Greater Manchester. Of course, we are all looking forward to getting back in the offices each day, but during this crisis, needs must dictate actions, and the needs of our community are at the forefront of our mind.

• Home and property valuation appraisals via Facetime, WhatsApp, House Party etc. Just telephone one of our offices and we’ll get the process underway. We will arrange an appointment in the usual way and prepare comparable properties for you to see and show you example marketing packages etc. With a detailed virtual tour conducted via video call we can value your property. Although I’m sure we would all prefer to have a face to face visit, these times require a little flexibility and a pinch of innovation and we can still make the property sale and letting process work for our clients.
• Virtual viewings of properties. Our website provides comprehensive information, descriptions, measurements, photography and floorplans of all our properties for sale and to let as standard. PLUS in the formative stages of this health crises we took the initiative and recorded a video walk through, a virtual viewing video, of most of the properties that we have on the market. Meaning that we are able and would be pleased to email a virtual viewing video too you. We could even watch along with you (in different locations) and talk you through the property via a multimedia virtual meeting. Even though you maybe self-isolating or practicing sensible social distancing, you can still virtually view the properties that we offer to the market. We are actively working for our clients, still selling and letting properties whilst these Corona virus restrictions are in place.
• Property Management. We actively manage a large number of rental tenancies for our clients and throughout this crisis we will continue to be the first point of contact for tenants. Some tenants are expressing concerns about the future and in some instances, we have agreed rental plans between landlords and tenants so that all parties can try and make plans for navigating this crisis and go forward with a degree of confidence.
• Lettings. We are taking expressions of interest on all our available rental properties. Restrictions on movement may limit the moving in process, but applications could be made. We will continue to follow the Government’s advice regarding moving. Our lettings department is buoyant even though this is an extraordinary time for landlords and tenants, but please don’t be afraid to ask any question at all. It is very likely someone else may have already asked us that same question and we have the answer ready and waiting.
• Landlord Accounting. Of course, we will continue to account to our landlord clients each month and will be sending BACS payments as usual along with the monthly statements.
• Property Maintenance. We have tradespeople on hand to help with property maintenance issues. They are well aware of social distancing practices. We and they will continue to follow Government guidance regarding emergency work etc.
• We are working with solicitors, surveyors and others involved in the sale, exchange and completion of property sales. We as always, will liaise with all parties to make the sale process as well informed as possible. These are extraordinarily times, but through working together contract exchanges and sale completions are still happening. We will do our best to make sure that yours does too.
