A FAMILY-run estate agents has scooped two prestigious awards at a London ceremony – the perfect start to their 40th anniversary year.
Bosses at Cardwells Estate Agents walked away with the best estate agency office in Greater Manchester and best agency marketing in the north west prizes at the United Kingdom Property Awards.
Staff travelled down to the capital’s Royal Lancaster Hotel to pick up the honours recently.
Andrew Cardwell, the firm’s managing director, has spoken of his pride that clients had helped them to secure the industry recognition.
He said: “There are a lot of estate agency offices in Greater Manchester so to be recognised as the finest of them all, and to win the award is a fantastic achievement.
“The marketing prize hopefully appreciates the superb advertising of the properties that we list for sale or let.
“I believe our individual property marketing videos were a key factor in this win.
“These two awards belong to my wonderful colleagues, whose superb and tireless work has made this happen.
“I am lucky to work with the very best people, and these two awards are a recognition for their continued superb work.
“My father Richard, who founded this company, and I are extremely proud of each and every colleague.
“It is a privilege to work along side them. We all understand that our priority is to look after our client’s best interests, and this is just as important today, as it was when we started in 1982.
“We celebrate the 40th anniversary of our company in 2022 and this a superb way to mark the occasion.”
The property awards is the largest within the industry and has a judging panel including three peers, Lord Caithness, Lord Best, and Lord Waverley.
Customers are consulted during the judging process and mystery shopping experiences are also conducted. This is a long assessment process over many months.
Cardwells, which has offices in Institute Street in Bolton and Market Street in Bury, covers both the residential and commercial sectors and supported community initiatives to collect groceries during lockdown. It is also partnered with the likes of Bolton Hospice, Bury Hospice, Cancer Research UK and Urban Outreach Bolton.
