As an estate agents, Bolton, Cardwells cover many different areas. Although we are based in Bolton, we cover a lot of the North West, including Manchester and the surrounding areas. The Manchester Evening News recently did a survey on some of the best places to live which are only 40 minutes away from the city centre. We are proud to say just how extensive our service coverage is with our estate agents, Bolton!
What a lot of people enjoy about Manchester is the hustle and bustle and the convenience. It’s great for both a night out and a quiet evening meal alike. There’s the option of a day’s shopping, or entertainment arcades and cinemas. At Christmas there are the renowned German markets. You can call in for a relaxed drink and there are hotels dotted around everywhere, so you don’t have to think about your journey home.
The main area which was looked at as a great place to live that we cover was Egerton. Nestled between Bolton, Bury and Manchester, Egerton has been deemed a fantastic choice for families. An ideal location for commuters, it boasts a number of great primary and secondary schools and is just a short drive from Manchester city centre. The train station is only a short distance from the town centre, making Bolton, Bury and Manchester even more accessible.

Egerton is full of diverse ranges of properties. A range of stone built homes gives the village a real traditional feel. However, a number of new homes in recent years have been adding to the mix.
In terms of education, Egerton Primary School in the neighbouring village is a popular choice having received top marks in its last Ofsted report. Turton High School is an excellent secondary option and Canon Slade is only around the corner.
What makes this area even more sought after is the local day out options. Jumbles Country Park is just outside of the village. A little further afield is Rivington Pike, where you can go for a ‘serious’ walk, a gentle stroll or even just sit in one of the barns for a coffee and cake!
Basically, as an estate agents, Bolton, we couldn’t recommend Egerton as a great place to live enough! You get all the convenience and excitement of a thriving city, coupled with a quiet, sleepy town at the end of the day.
